Northstar’s 153,000 SF Expansion: Advanced Manufacturing Grows in Southwest Florida

Proud to have worked alongside our team on the transaction supporting Northstar Enterprise + Defense’s expansion into a new 153,000-square-foot headquarters and production campus in Fort Myers.

For those of us working in Southwest Florida’s industrial market, this project is particularly exciting. It connects local industrial real estate with growing national demand for artificial intelligence infrastructure, telecommunications and defense technology.

Northstar designs and manufactures modular data centers. Its expanded Fort Myers campus will increase production capacity while the company maintains its existing manufacturing operations in Bonita Springs.

The real estate behind business growth

Industrial buildings play a direct role in a company’s ability to grow. Manufacturing users need facilities that accommodate their production processes, equipment, material handling and workforce—with enough flexibility to support the next stage of their business.

From a brokerage perspective, these requirements make understanding the operation essential. Building size is one part of the assignment. Power, loading, circulation, zoning and expansion capacity can be equally consequential.

Transactions like this demonstrate the importance of aligning a company’s operational needs with the right industrial property.

What this means for Southwest Florida

Northstar’s expansion is a concrete example of advanced manufacturing growing within our region.

For industrial owners and developers, it highlights an opportunity to serve businesses with specialized production requirements. For the broader community, manufacturing growth can create opportunities for employees, suppliers, contractors and service providers.

One transaction does not define an entire market, but this is a meaningful addition to Southwest Florida’s industrial base—and a project we are proud to have been involved in.

Congratulations to the Northstar team on this milestone. I look forward to seeing what they build next.
